A second man has been charged over an alleged murder just before Christmas – as police said their investigation was still ongoing.

Billy McGuire, 25, died in hospital after an incident in Clydebank on Monday, December 21 which left two other men injured.

Police said a 25-year-old man had been charged in connection with the death and would appear in court later.

Another man, 24-year-old Jordon Morrison, from Glasgow, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on January 2 charged with murder and attempted murder.

Detective chief inspector Alan McAlpine said: “Our enquiries remain ongoing into this investigation and I want to thank members of the public for their assistance so far.

“We continue to support Billy’s family at this difficult time and would ask anyone who has any further information that could assist with our enquiries to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
