iStockA 13-year-old girl who was missing for two nights in North Lanarkshire has been found safe.
Concern was growing for the schoolgirl from Airdrie who was last seen in the area at around 10pm on Friday.
Police appealed for information and urged anyone with any information on her whereabouts to contact them as soon as possible.
But the force confirmed later on Sunday that she had been found safe.
A statement said: “We are pleased to confirm that the 13-year-old missing from Airdrie since Friday, 8 September, 2023, has been traced. Thank you to everyone who shared our information.”
