A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being stabbed in an attack in Inverclyde.
The alarm was raised shortly before 8pm on Saturday when police were called to Earnhill Road in Greenock following a report of a serious assault.
Emergency services attended and the schoolboy was taken to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police were called around 7.55pm on Saturday, April 3, following the report of a serious assault on Earnhill Road, Greenock.
“Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old male youth was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
“Enquiries are currently ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.”
