Two crashes on the M8 caused disruption to rush hour traffic on Wednesday morning.
A collision shortly before 9.40am on the eastbound carriageway near Charing Cross in Glasgow saw delays of 30 minutes above normal.
Earlier, the Westbound carriageway was restricted due to a collision near Junction 2 Claylands Interchange at around 8am.
Emergency services were in attendance, Traffic Scotland said.
Traffic was building up on approach causing delays from the M9 of 40 minutes above normal.
Police Scotland has been contacted.
