A road in South Lanarkshire has been closed to the public after a two car crash left a man in hospital.
Emergency services were called to Rutherglen’s Main Street, at the junction with Reid Street, at around 2pm on Sunday, October 15 following the collision.
A man was taken to hospital. His current condition is unknown.
Main Street is closed between Caledonia Avenue and Hardie Avenue, while McCallum Avenue is also closed.
The public have been asked to the area while enquires are carried out.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are currently in attendance following a two-vehicle crash on Main Street in Rutherglen at the junction with Reid Street, that happened around 2pm on Sunday, October 15.
“Emergency services attended and a man has been taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Main Street is closed between Caledonia Avenue and Hardie Avenue. McCallum Avenue is also closed between Caledonia Avenue and Hardie Avenue and the public are advised to avoid the area.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
