A man is to stand trial next summer charged with raping a woman.
Reece McGillion is accused of carrying out the sex attack at a house in Linwood, Renfrewshire on July 12, 2020.
The allegation includes claims the 28-year-old, of Possilpark, Glasgow, did pin the woman down on a bed, bit her, pulled her on the body and grabbed her hair.
The case called on Thursday for a brief hearing at the High Court in Glasgow, where his lawyer Louise Arrol pled not guilty on his behalf.
She also lodged a special defence of consent in connection with the charge.
The advocate added: “The defence is ready for trial.”
Lady Stacey set a trial due to begin next July in Paisley. The case could last up to four days.
Bail for McGillion was continued meantime.
