Railway services between Glasgow Central and North Ayrshire have been suspended after a person was hit by a train.
Services to Kilwinning, Ardrossan and Largs have been suspended after the incident on Friday evening.
The incident is believed to have occurred at Saltcoats train station, and SFRS confirmed that fire crews are at the scene.
Police and ambulance services, including an air ambulance, are also believed to be in attendance.
Scotrail said that the disruption is expected to last until 8pm on Friday evening.
The rail operator has arranged ticket acceptance on the number 11 bus between Kilwinning and Ardrossan in both directions.
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
