An investigation has been launched as police treat a man’s death in a Glasgow flat as suspicious.

Officers were called to the property on Jedworth Road in the city’s Drumchapel shortly before 6pm on Thursday.

A 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and a post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

As they investigate, police confirmed they are treating the man’s death as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.55pm on Thursday, April 22, officers were called to a property in Jedworth Road, Glasgow.

“Officers attended and a 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“An investigation is ongoing and a post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however meantime the death is being treated as suspicious.

“Anyone with information that may assist the ongoing inquiry should contact 101 quoting reference number 2750 of April 22.”
