Police are looking to trace a woman and a baby last seen leaving a supermarket in Glasgow city centre.

The pair were last seen together on Wednesday, leaving a shop in the Jamaica Street area around 4.20pm, and walking towards a bus stop.

The baby, believed to be an infant aged between four and six months, was wearing a red snow suit with a hood and pink hat at the time.

The woman is described as white, eastern European, with blonde hair tied up in a green scrunchie.

She is believed to be wearing a black jacket, an ankle-length multi-coloured dress and a yellow cross-shoulder bag.

Inspector David Hill said: “We are appealing for anyone who recognises this woman and baby, or knows where they might be, to please contact us urgently.

“We are very concerned for their welfare and want to make sure they are traced safe and well.

“Anyone with information should call 101 as soon as possible, quoting reference 2475 of March 13, 2024.”
