Four men approached the victim in Glasgow's St Enoch Square before one assaulted him on Monday evening.

A man has sustained facial injuries after being attacked by a gang of men in Glasgow city centre.

At around 8.25pm on Monday, August 8, a man was approached by a group of four others at St Enoch Square, when one assaulted him leaving him injured.

The suspect then assaulted a second man within the foyer of Tesco at St Enoch Square.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The suspect is described as wearing a light grey tracksuit with a hooded top, a grey skip cap and grey and white trainers.

Following the incident, he made his way across Howard Street and on to Fox Street.

Detective Constable Andy Reid, from Glasgow City Centre CID, said: “Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing. St Enoch Square was busy with members of the public at the time of this incident therefore I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which could assist, to contact us.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3509 of August 8, 2022.
