Police have launched a search for a 15-year-old boy who has been missing for a week.
Ellis Clegg was last seen in Paisley on Saturday, December 11, at around 9.55pm.
However officers carrying out the hunt have been able to establish the teenager was on Glasgow’s Union Street just after midnight on Sunday, December 12.
Ellis is described as 5ft6, slim build and has brown curly hair and brown eyes and was believed to be wearing a black North Face tracksuit when he was last seen.
Police Constable Boyle said: “We have growing concerns for Ellis and just want to make sure he is okay.
“He has gone missing before and been traced in the Cheshire area so there is a possibility that he tried to travel.
“We have officers checking CCTV footage and speaking to those who know him, however we would appeal for anyone who thinks they may have seen him to get in touch.
“Ellis, if you see this, we urge you to make contact.”
If anyone has any information regarding Ellis or has any knowledge as to his whereabouts, please call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0045 of Sunday 12 December 2021.
