Detectives are searching for a thief after he broke into a home in Helensburgh and stole several items.
Police said the incident happened at around 3.50am at a property in Suffolk Street on Thursday.
The man also attempted to steal a car parked outside but failed, officers said.
The man is described as wearing a grey long-sleeved top and a black gilet.
Detective constable John Pryde said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Suffolk Street around the time of the theft on Thursday morning and who saw someone matching his description, or has any information that will assist our enquiry to contact 101 with reference number 0293 of November 9.
“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
