Police seize more than £100,000 worth of cannabis after property raid

Police Scotland said it arrested a 48-year-old man following the drugs seizure.

Police have seized more than £100,000 worth of cannabis after raiding a property in the Highlands.

On June 9, officers acting under warrant searched a house in Inverlochy, Fort William.

The force said it discovered a cannabis cultivation, which has a potential street value of more than £100,000.

A 48-year-old man was arrested in connection with the recovery.

He was due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday June 12.

Detective inspector Andrew Bilton said: “I would like to thank the public for their co-operation during this operation and to remind everyone to be alert to any suspicious activity ongoing in your neighbourhoods and be assured that we will take the appropriate action.”
