STV NewsA man and woman have been found dead inside a flat in Greenock.
Officers were called to a location on Banff Road in the town just after 5pm on Friday following reports of concern for the people inside.
Police arrived and the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered.
The deaths are being treated as “unexplained”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.05pm on Friday police were called to a property in Banff Road, Greenock, following a report of concern for the people within.
“Officers attended and the bodies of a man and woman were discovered.
“The deaths are currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
