Hunt for man as woman sexually assaulted in park during evening walk

The suspect has been described as being in his 50s with dark-grey hair and wearing dark clothing.

An investigation has been launched after a woman was sexually assaulted in a Paisley park at the weekend.

The 44-year-old woman was attacked by a man at around 9pm on Saturday while walking in the Durrockstock Park area.

The suspect has been described as being in his 50s with dark-grey hair.

Police believe that he was wearing a dark top or jumper, dark tracksuit bottoms and white trainers at the time of the assault.

Detective inspector Alex Allardyce said: “Officers are carrying out enquiries to trace the man responsible and would ask anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or concerning in the area at the time to please get in touch.

“We would like to reassure locals that additional patrols are in place and anyone with information should contact officers on 101 quoting reference 3611 of July 16, 2022.”
