Police ScotlandPolice have discovered the body of a woman during their search for a missing person from North Ayrshire.
Officers said while formal identification has yet to take place the family of 50-year-old Nicola Pirrie has been made aware.
Ms Pirrie was found near Slate Mill Gardens in Irvine at around 9.15 on Monday.
She had been reported missing on Friday after she disappeared on Saturday, July 13.
Police Scotland had previously issued appeals to the public to help find the 50-year-old, who had last been seen in the Broomlands area of Irvine.
The force said there were “no apparent suspicious circumstances” and said a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
