Large crowds gathered in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park despite having been cleared after similar scenes earlier this week.

Officers were aware of gatherings in the park throughout the day on Friday.

Police Scotland said regular patrols would remain in the area after the city saw sunny weather and temperatures of 17C.

Officers on horseback were also in the park.

On Wednesday, huge crowds were seen in Kelvingrove with police called to disperse them.

Currently, four adults from two separate households are allowed to meet up for social and recreational purposes as well as exercise.

However, the “stay at home” restriction remains in place until April 2.

Police Scotland said no arrests were made and no fines had been issued.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We’re aware of a number of groups gathering in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow, throughout the day.

“Officers have engaged with people to explain the current coronavirus regulations.

“No fixed penalty notices have been issued and regular patrols remain in the area.”
