A person was sexually assaulted at a shopping centre in Glasgow on Thursday morning.
Police were called to Silverburn, in the Pollok area of the city, at around 11.25am.
The attack happened inside one of the mall’s shops, with management saying they were supporting the authorities with their enquiries.
The condition of the victim is unknown.
Police Scotland said an investigation is ongoing.
A spokesperson for Hammerson, which owns the shopping mall, said: “We can confirm that an incident occurred at Silverburn yesterday.
“Police attended and this is now a matter for the authorities and we are supporting them with their enquiries. The safety and security of our customers and colleagues is always our top priority.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of a sexual assault within a store at Silverburn shopping centre on Barrhead Road, Glasgow around 11.25am on Thursday 16 December 2021.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
