Appeal to trace man in relation to city centre sexual assault

Police have released a CCTV image of a man that they wish to speak to.

A man believed to be able to assist in enquiries into a sexual assault in Glasgow earlier this year is being sought by police.

The incident took place within a bar on Ingram Street in the city at around midnight on Sunday September 4, 2022.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man that they wish to speak to.

He is described as being white, around 5ft 9in in height and of a slim build with short fair hair.

At the time he was wearing a light brown denim or cord jacket, a dark shirt and trousers, and dark trainers with white soles.

Constable Michael Henaghan said: “We are appealing for the man in this image, or anyone who knows the man in the image, to come forward, as we believe he can assist our investigation into this incident.

“Please call police on 101, quoting incident 0402 of September 4, 2022. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
