Police have launched an attempted murder investigation after a car was deliberately driven at a man in West Dunbartonshire.

Officers are appealing for information after a white Toyota C-HR car was driven at a 31-year-old man in the Crown Avenue area of Clydebank at around 6.30pm on Tuesday.

The man was not injured and the car was driven off in the direction of Kilbowie Road.

Detective inspector Samantha Glasgow, of Clydebank CID, said: “This was a deliberate act and it is fortunate that the man did not sustain injuries as a result.

“We are asking anyone who was in the Crown Avenue area around the time of the incident and may have seen what happened or have dash-cam footage of the incident, or of the car involved, to get in touch.

“Anyone with information that could help with our investigation is urged to please call us.

“If you can help please contact us via 101, quoting incident number 3120 of 15 March, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
