A man is in hospital after being assaulted by masked robbers who gained access to a Glasgow property and stole a laptop in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

At around 1.20am on July 4, two men gained entry to the property on Middleton Street in the Ibrox area of the city where a 46-year-old man was assaulted and a laptop was taken.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Police are now hunting for two suspects who are described as having their faces covered and wearing dark hooded tops with the hoods up.

One had dark trousers and the other grey trousers and both spoke with Glaswegian accents.

Anyone with information or dash cam and CCTV footage is being urged to come forward.

Police constable Scott Kelly from the community investigation unit at Helen Street Police Office said: “We are appealing to members of the public who may have seen anyone matching these descriptions around the time of this incident.

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have any other information which could assist us, including dash cam and private CCTV footage, to get in touch.”
