Police hunt man who spat at nurse in row over parking

A man spat at a district nurse during a dispute about parking in Renfrewshire.

The 56-year-old NHS worker was visiting a patient in Tannahill Crescent, Johnstone, on Friday morning.

The woman working on the front line was subjected to abuse and assaulted around 9am after the man complained about her parking.

Police are now hunting the man as they launch an investigation.

A spokeswoman confirmed the assault and revealed the woman was uninjured during the incident.

“Enquiries in to the circumstances are ongoing,” she said.
