Police are searching for the driver of a car which burst into flames following a crash in Glasgow.
Emergency services were alerted to the one-vehicle collision on the Gallowgate in the city shortly after midnight on Thursday.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service mobilised two appliances to tackle the blaze that took hold of the vehicle following the crash.
SFRS added that there were no reports of any casualties.
Police Scotland closed the road while investigations were carried out and said enquries were ongoing in a bid to trace the driver.
The road has since reopened.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 0.08am on Thursday June 16 to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a car on the Gallowgate, Glasgow.
“Operations control immediately mobilised two appliances and firefighters extinguished the fire which had taken hold of the vehicle. There were no reports of any casualties.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver and the road has since re-opened.
“Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and are requesting any further witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 0023 from Thursday, June 16.”
