A body has been found in the search for a man missing from Rutherglen.
Daniel Rooney had not been seen since Saturday night at around 10.40pm and an appeal was launched to locate him shortly afterwards.
Police confirmed the discovery of the body in Glasgow on Sunday.
Officers confirmed formal identification was still to take place, however the family of Mr Rooney, 37, has been informed.
A police spokesperson said: “A body has been found in Glasgow during searches for Daniel Rooney who had been reported missing from Rutherglen.
“He is yet to be formally identified but Mr Rooney’s family has been made aware.
“There are no apparent suspicious circumstances.”
