Police are looking for the culprit who set fire to a derelict property in North Lanarkshire.

The incident happened around 4.15pm on June 28 at a building on Airdrie Road in Caldercruix.

Officers are treating the incident as wilful and said there were no injuries reported.

Detective constable Waddell said: “I am appealing to anyone who has any information which may assist us to get in touch.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have seen anything suspicious or who may have private CCTV or dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 2539 of June 28.
