An appeal has been launched in the search for two missing teenagers.

Police are seeking assistance from the public to trace 16-year-old Courtney Semple, from South Lanarkshire.

She has been missing from the Kirkmuirhill/Blackwood area since around 9:05pm on June 19.

Officers say that Courtney has connections to Clydebank, East Kilbride, Larkhall and surrounding areas and is known to frequent both Glasgow and Edinburgh City Centre.

She is described as being 4ft 1in, with a slim build and blonde hair.

At the time of her disappearance she was wearing grey shorts, a white tank top and a black Nike zipper.

Police believe that Courtney is in the company of another missing person, 17-year-old Liam Kennedy.

Liam, from the Plains areas of Airdrie, was last seen at around 9.55pm on June 21.

He is described as being 6ft 4in tall, of slim build, with short brown hair, blue/grey eyes.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black tracksuit top and black tracksuit bottoms.

Police have asked that anyone with information regarding either Courtney or Liam contact them on 101 quoting incident number “PS-20210619-4135“.
