Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries after Ashton Lane attack

Police are appealing for witnesses after being called to the scene in the early hours of the morning.

A man has been taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries in an attack on Glasgow’s Ashton Lane.

The incident occurred in the west end of the city around 1.15am on Thursday, December 28.

Emergency services attended the scene and a 45-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Police say they are following a positive line of enquiry after the incident on the busy West End backstreet near Byres Road.

Detective Sergeant Alastair Taylor said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.”
