Police are appealing for information after a serious road crash in West Dunbartonshire last Thursday.

Officers were called to the road crash near the village of Gartocharn around 3.10pm on February 25.

The incident involved two Ford Transit vans and a Toyota Rav4 on the A811 near to Gartocharn.

Emergency crews attended and a man, 58, and a woman, 47, from one of the vans, were taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.

Hospital staff describe their condition as serious.

The driver of the other Transit van and the RAV4 did not require medical treatment.

Sergeant Kevin Craig, of the Road Policing Unit based at Dumbarton, said: “Our investigation into the cause of this crash is continuing.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash, who has not yet spoken to police to come forward.

“I would also like to hear from anyone driving on the A811 near Gartocharn around the time of the crash who has dash-cam footage.

“I would ask anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 1732 of 25 February.”
