A motorcyclist who died after the bike he was riding on crashed in Argyll has been named.

Donald Outerson, 67, from Tullibody in Clackmannanshire died at the scene on the A85 between Dalmally and Tyndrum on Friday afternoon around 4.10pm.

Mr Outerson, who was known as Donnie, was the rider of the grey Kawasaki ZR1000 motorcycle and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The road was closed following the incident until 1.15am on Saturday.

In a statement, his family said: “We would like to thank everyone for their condolences, love and support.”

Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with information which hasn’t yet been passed to police can call 101, quoting incident number 2520 of Friday, July 21, 2023.
