A pensioner is in a serious condition in hospital after being knocked down by a bus in Glasgow.
The 72-year-old man was at a bus stop on Govan Road at around 2.55pm on Friday afternoon when he was hit by a McGill’s single-decker.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be treated to his injuries where staff described his condition as serious but stable.
The bus was being driven by a 64-year-old man, police said. No other injuries have been reported.
Police are appealing to the public for witnesses.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans, from the Divisional Road Policing Unit at Govan, said: “Our investigation into this crash is continuing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this crash, or anyone on the bus at the time to contact us.
“Anyone with information should contact 101 with reference number 2163 of September 2.”
