A man has been left injured after being struck by a car in South Lanarkshire.
The pedestrian was walking on Stuart Street, East Kilbride when the incident took place at around 8am on Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to the scene soon after and the injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
There are no further details on his injuries at this time.
Police were also in attendance and the road remains closed as investigations take place into the circumstances of the crash.
A spokesman for the force said: “Police were called at around 8am on Wednesday following the report of a road traffic crash between a car and a pedestrian on Stuart Street, East Kilbride.
“Emergency services attended and one man has been taken to hospital.”
