A woman has been killed after being struck by a bin lorry in Alloa.
Emergency services were called to the scene in the town’s High Street around 3pm.
The 52-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to High Street in Alloa around 3pm following a report of a crash involving a bin lorry and a pedestrian.
“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 52-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been notified.
“The road remains closed whilst officers carry out an investigation. Local diversions are in place and we would ask people to avoid the area.”
