Owner of 'large vacuum bags' of cannabis asked to collect them from police

Officers said that if the man wanted the estimated £40,000 worth of drugs then he should come and 'discuss the matter'.

The owner of ten large vacuum bags of cannabis has been asked to visit a police station if he wants to collect them.

Officers recovered the bags, containing around £40,000 worth of drugs, from a vehicle in the Pollok area of Glasgow after a man ran away leaving them behind.

Police had stopped the vehicle on Priesthill Road at around 11.25am on Friday.

“Enquiries are ongoing to trace you but should you wish to come and collect them, please attend Pollok Police office and we can discuss the matter,” a police spokesperson said.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.25am on Friday, July 28, 2023, Pollock community officers stopped a vehicle on Priesthill Road, Glasgow. A quantity of cannabis was recovered from the vehicle, with an estimated value of around £40,000. The male driver ran from the scene and enquiries are ongoing to trace him.”
