One person has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a van forced the A76 to close in Dumfriesshire.
Emergency services were called to the route south of Sanquhar at around 9.15am on Tuesday.
The Scottish Ambulance Service attended and took one person to hospital.
Police said this person was also issued a fixed penalty notice.
The A76 at Enterkinfoot was closed in both directions due to the collision.
The road was reopened just over two hours later.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.15am on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 on the A76 we received a report of a crash involving a van and car.
“Ambulance were contacted and one person was taken to hospital and issued with a fixed penalty notice.”
