Motorists have been urged to take care on the M74 after bricks were found across three lanes.
Traffic Scotland said two lanes of the motorway were closed westbound following the incident near Cambuslang on Tuesday morning.
Police are on the scene and traffic is tailed back to junction three.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.10am on Tuesday, October 26, we received a report of bricks on the westbound carriageway of the M74, near to junction 2A.
“Officers are in attendance and two of the lanes are closed while the debris is removed.
“There are no reports of any injuries.”
