A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following a crash with a car in Renfrewshire.
The smash, involving a blue Kawasaki motorbike and blue Dacia Sandero Stepway, happened on the A737 between Johnstone and Linwood at around 9.30pm on Saturday.
Police said the bike was travelling on the southbound carriageway and the car on the northbound road when the incident happened.
Emergency services attended and the 22-year-old male biker was taken to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he remains.
The 55-year-old female driver and sole occupant of the Dacia was uninjured.
The road was closed for several hours for investigation works. It eventually reopened at around 3.20am on Sunday.
Sergeant John Bradford said: “Our enquiries into the cause of the crash are continuing and I would urge anyone who saw what happened, and has not yet spoken to officers, to come forward.”
If you saw either of the vehicles on the A737 or have dashcam footage that could help the police investigation, call 101.
