A motorcyclist has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a collision with a car near a village in Ayrshire.
The rider was unseated from his bike during the crash shortly after 5pm on the B730 just outside Tarbolton on Wednesday, June 15.
The driver of the car was unhurt in the incident and stopped afterwards, however the motorcyclist was transferred to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
Officers say the driver has now been reported to the procurator fiscal for road traffic offences.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: “Officers were called to a road crash involving a motorcycle and a car on a road close to the village of Tarbolton, Ayrshire on Wednesday, June 15.
“Emergency services were in attendance and the motorcyclist was conveyed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.
“The driver of the car was unhurt and will be reported for road traffic offences.”
