Motorcyclist dies in hospital following crash at industrial estate 

A motorcyclist has died in hospital following a collision with a van at an industrial estate in Kilmarnock.

Police officers shut down Moorfield Industrial Estate at around 2.20pm on Tuesday, June 7, following the collision.

The 45-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he died on Saturday evening.

The road was closed for around four hours while crash investigations were carried out.

Enquiries into the crash are continuing and police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the area at the time to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1863 of June 7, 2022.
