Motorcyclist dies following collision with car near Loch Lomond 

A 37-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to hospital after the crash on Tuesday and died a short time later.

A motorcyclist has died on a busy stretch of the A82 near Loch Lomond following a collision with a car.

The crash occurred north of Luss on Tuesday on the northbound carriage around 6.40pm.

The 37-year-old male motorcyclist was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he later died from his injuries.

The road was closed for just over four hours to allow officers to carry out investigations. 

Sergeant Brian Simpson of Dumbarton Road Policing said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this incident.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch. 

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area around that time and who saw the white Skoda car and blue Suzuki motorbike to get in touch.

“Anyone with any information, including dash-cam footage, is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 3676 of June 13.”
