The collision happened on the A82 Balloch to Arden road on Monday.

A 21-year-old man has died in hospital after a motorbike was involved in a crash with a car.

The collision between a black Suzuki motorcycle and a silver Volkswagen Golf Estate happened on the A82 Balloch to Arden road, around 5.10pm on Monday.

The motorbike passenger was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A 23-year-old biker was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley and later discharged. The 46-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was not injured.

Inspector Archie McGuire said: “Our thoughts are very much with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“We continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash and I would ask anyone who has information and has not yet spoken to police to come forward.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area at the time and has a dash-cam to check back and see if there is any footage that could assist our investigation.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
