A crash involving a car and motorbike has blocked two lanes of the M8 near Braehead in Renfrew.
Emergency services attended to the scene of the collision shortly after 4pm with traffic queuing back for over three miles from Junction 26 to Junction 29.
Police remained on the scene at 4.45pm on Tuesday.
Drivers were warned to expect delays travelling in both directions, with westbound traffic backed up to Junction 23 from the Hillington Interchange,
The crash follows another collision involving a lorry on the M8 westbound near the same junction.
An HGV driver was being treated for minor injuries following the incident, which happened at around 12pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 4.15pm on Tuesday, October 5, to a report of report of a crash involving a car and a motorbike on the M8 eastbound near Junction 26.
“Emergency services are in attendance. The eastbound section of the motorway is partially blocked.”
