A Lanarkshire teenager who went missing 11 days ago has been found by police ‘safe and well’.

Kai Rae, 16, vanished from his home in Cambuslang on Monday, November 23, prompting a major police search.

CCTV footage captured him boarding a train to London and getting into a taxi at King’s Cross railway station.

Police Scotland said on Thursday that Kai had been found.

Inspector Stephen McManus said: “I am pleased to confirm that Kai Rae, who was reported missing from Cambuslang, has been traced safe and well.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the public and the media for sharing our earlier appeals. Your support was much appreciated”
