A missing mother and her two children have been found “safe and well”.

Police in South Lanarkshire launched a search for Lauren Young, 23, and her two young sons after they disappeared from East Kilbride on Monday afternoon.

Officers issued a public appeal following “growing concern” for their welfare.

On Wednesday, a force spokesperson said: “All have been traced safe and well.

“We would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance in this inquiry.”
