Man who disappeared after Easter fishing trip found 'safe and well'

A man who went missing after going on an Easter fishing trip with friends in the Highlands has been traced. 

David Mooney, from Paisley, had travelled to Loch Cluanie, west of Invergarry, with the group however left unexpectedly around 1.30pm on Sunday.

He was later spotted in Inverness at the train station around 3.50pm on Easter Monday.

On Wednesday, police confirmed that the 43-year-old had been traced “safe and well”. 

Officers thanked the public for sharing their appeal.
