The body of a man has been discovered in Dumfries and Galloway.
Police Scotland confirmed the body was found on land near Langholm.
The discovery was made at around 11.35am on Thursday, December 30.
Formal identification is still to take place, but police said the family of missing man James Turner have been informed.
Mr Turner, 48, had been reported missing from his home in Annan on Tuesday, December 28.
Officers indicate there are no suspicious circumstances.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
