A man wanted in connection with a series of violent offences against women in England has been arrested in Paisley.
Owen Buck was hunted by officers in Lancashire over a litany of allegations including harassment, rape and stalking between November 2021 and January 2022.
The 23-year-old, originally from Preston, had links to North Ayrshire area, including Irvine, Stevenson and Dalry.
However, he was apprehended by local officers in Renfrewshire on Tuesday afternoon and has since been transported back to England.
He was also sought on allegations of assault and criminal damage, police said.
A statement from Lancashire Police read: “Yesterday, we asked for your help locating a man named Owen Buck, aged 23, who was wanted in connection with allegations of rape, criminal damage, assault and stalking between November 2021 and January this year.
“A 23-year-old man has since been arrested in the Paisley area of Scotland.
“Many thanks for your assistance.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, acting on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary, officers from Police Scotland arrested a 23-year-old man on Argyle Street, Paisley.
“He was handed over to Lancashire Constabulary.”
