A man was taken to hospital following an incident involving a potential firearm in Pollok.

Emergency services were called to Ladymuir Crescent at around 8.10pm on Sunday after a 35-year-old man was found injured.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Initial enquiries suggest that a possible firearm may have been used in the incident, but the man was not shot.

Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.10pm on Sunday, August 13, 2023, police received a report of a 35-year-old man being found injured on Ladymuir Crescent, Glasgow.

“He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

“Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.”
