A man has been taken to hospital for treatment following an assault in East Kilbride.
Officers were alerted to the incident that happened on Glen Moriston around 6.30pm on Friday.
A 49-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment following the attack.
Police are now urging anyone with information of CCTV from the area at the time to get in touch.
Detective constable Graeme Easton said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to contact us.
“We also ask anyone with private CCTV or drivers in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to come forward.”
