A man required hospital treatment following a crash between a car and an electric motorbike in Glasgow.

Police were called to London Road at the junction with Helenvale Street, at around 12.50pm on Friday.

Emergency services took a 37-year-old man, the motorcyclist, to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a serious leg injury.

His current condition is unknown.

The road was closed while investigation work was carried out and reopened at 2.25pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 12.50pm on Friday, October 28, to a report of a crash involving a car and an electric motorcycle on London Road at the junction with Helenvale Street.

“A 37-year-old man, the motorcyclist, sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

“The road was closed for collision investigation work and re-opened around 2.25pm.”
