A man was taken to hospital after being seriously assaulted at a pub in South Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to The George Bar, in Hamilton, at around 7.45pm on Tuesday.
Officers confirmed that a 47-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Enquires into the incident remain ongoing at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2023, we received a report of a serious assault at a licensed premises in Campbell Street in Hamilton.
“A 47-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
